Pastor & Mrs. Prisk of Bible Baptist Church Oak Harbor(Grandmother church Pastor & Mrs. Stiff of Fellowship Baptist Church Arlington (Mother Church) Pastor & Mrs.Warner of Faithful Baptist Church Omak (far right)
Hello, I am David Warner, Pastor of Faithful Baptist Church of Omak, Washington.
I was raised in a Christian home and received salvation at age 8. I was baptized at age 13 at Pleasant View Baptist Church (General Baptist Conference Church) in Bettendorf, Iowa. Later, in 2001, I began to doubt the authority for that Church, so I was baptized by Fellowship Baptist Church of Arlington, Washington.
In 1984 I graduated with a Nutritional Biochemistry degree from Iowa State University. In 1988 I joined the Navy where I soon met my wife to be, Laura. We were married in 1989.It was at our first duty station in Naples, Italy, where I became grounded well in the old fashioned Baptist doctrine (Bible doctrine) at Bible Baptist Church under the preaching of Pastor Bill DeWeese. We served there for 4 years and then transferred to San Diego and attended First Baptist Church under the preaching of Dr. Thomas Cassidy. It was here that I greatly grew in both doctrine and the call of God in my life. I was also training at the Naval school for Physician Assistant Studies. I graduated from this school in 1995 and received my Navy Commission. Later I would receive a Masters Degree in Family Medicine (PA).
We then transferred to Everett, Washington and began serving at Fellowship Baptist Church (see “Links” page) of Arlington, Washington under the preaching of Pastor Greg Stiff. It was here that the call to be a Pastor was solidified. I received much practical training during my nine years as a member of this Church. In 2000 I finished a 4 year program in Theology through the curriculum offered by Bible Baptist Church (see “Links” page) of Oak Harbor, Washington. In April of 2001 I was ordained a Pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church and served in the Associate position for 2 years.
I knew God had called me to begin a true New Testament Baptist Church somewhere in the world and I spent at least 1 year praying and searching where that might be. In January of 2003 I began surveying Eastern Washington, and settled on Omak as God’s place for me to start a church. Fellowship Baptist Church commissioned the mission work to begin there in Omak in September of 2003. It started with just my family and I. The Lord blessed quickly, and we saw two faithful families become members in the first 2 months. By the end of that first year in Omak, we had 46 members. We officially organized as an Independent Baptist Church on September 12th, 2004, through the authority of Fellowship Baptist Church of Arlington, Washington.
